On Sunday we went with our friends the Kecks to pick some fresh blueberries.
Little did we know how many greenberries we would find on each blueberry bush.
And this brought with it the following dilemma...
To Harkin and Ruby, a blueberry, is a greenberry, is a delicious berry :)
Needless to say, the girls were more of a hindrance than a help.
They drained our buckets faster than we could fill them.
I guess when you're on a blueberry farm, it shouldn't be any other way.

Two years ago we stood in awe at what the Lord had made...
One year ago we weren't sure it could get any better...
And today we are quite convinced, sweet baby girl, that each day with you will continue to be sweeter than the ones that came before. We love you from your toes to the moon Harkin Lee!

Thanks to Ya-Ya and GPs generosity and careful planning, our family and friends were able to enjoy some very special time on Cape Cod last week. It was such a refreshing break from the city and our day-to-day routine, and we are returning with many special memories that we will always remember.
Harkin loved playing with ALL FOUR of her amazing grandparents, her Uncle Charlie, Uncle John, Auntie Victoria, Uncle Philip, Auntie Lisa, and sweet Eloise. Although the weather was cold and rainy at times, it didn't slow us down one bit. We bundled up and walked along the beach, played in the sand, sipped ice coffee as we window shopped in downtown Chatham, ate countless delicious meals, played wiffle ball, badminton, football, and card games, went on a day trip to Provincetown, and enjoyed our fair share of ice cream. Our friends from Boston came out for a day trip and the very large and beautiful backyard became the perfect playground for all 7 kids who thoroughly enjoyed it. We are so grateful for all of these memories and more. Thanks so much to our family and friends who traveled so far to be with us-- we are so blessed by all of you!
Special times with our family and friends!

As soon as warm weather hit a few weeks ago, we have been going full speed ahead each day. Yesterday was an example of what our days have been like:
9-10 Play at the playground
10-12 Meet friends to play at the beach
12-2 Naps for everybody
4-6 Meet friends at the pool to swim
6-7 Eat homemade ice cream for dinner at friends house
7-8 Bathe, read, and SLEEP!
Although this was a particularly busy day, many of our days have been like this lately, and this morning I decided we were long overdue for a lazy morning. So today we woke up and did just that. As tired as I was of this typical winter routine, today it felt so nice and out of the ordinary. Sipping coffee, watching the morning show, Sesame street, and playing. It has been delightful.
Tobi enjoyed sleeping (and of course Harkin made sure he had someone to snuggle with)
Harkin rediscovered all of the toys she has not played with for many days, as well as what we like to call "the government issued" pacifier that was sent home from the hospital when she was born.
I am so grateful for this lazy morning-- it is just what we needed. A few minutes ago I put Harkin in time out up in her crib and by the time I went to take her out a minute later, she had curled up and fallen sound asleep :)

Tomorrow our dear friends the Kecks leave for five weeks. We are all going to miss them, but Harkin especially is going to miss her best friend Ruby. These pictures say it all. Ruby is truly her best buddy... a companion when she is happy, a comfort when she is sad, a partner in crime when she is looking for mischief. We are so thankful for Ruby!

We have had lots of special family times in these past few weeks and we give thanks for them:
Playing in the backyard...
